A Comprehensive Approach To Combating HIV/AIDS

 

The Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund (OACF) is committed to a comprehensive approach to combating HIV/AIDS in Oklahoma. It is understood that the HIV services in Oklahoma are only as strong as their providers. OACF supports its HIV service partners by insuring they have the resources and tools needed for developing and maintaining their community-based initiatives.

 

The generosity of our patrons who support us through donating, attending Red Tie Night and volunteering are the foundation of our organization and allow us to pursue our Education and Prevention programs.

Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE Program

 

 

 

HIV Positive? Diagnosed with AIDS? Need help with medical bills? Lost your job through illness and cannot pay your rent?  Cannot afford to pay for an eye exam? Are you at risk of having your water supply turned off? Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund Emergency Assistance is here to support HIV/AIDS affected Oklahomans who find themselves in an emergency financial situation. Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund HIV/AIDS TESTING Programs

 

  

 

 

HIV NETWORKING LUNCHEON

 

  

 

These lucheon meetings take place 6 times per year at the American Red Cross building in OKC. This forum is designed to advance community collaboration and information sharing among HIV/AIDS service partners. These meetings average 60 to 80 attendees and include members of the Dept. of Health, Mental Health, Dept. of Corrections, The City of Oklahoma City, and many HIV service agencies and volunteer groups.

 

 

 

 

HIV Provider EDUCATIONAL Programs

 

 

  

 

 

 

Cultural Media Campaigns

 

 

 

Culturally focused, multiple media campaigns targeting the NATIVE AMERICAN, LATINO and AFRICAN AMERICAN communities with HIV prevention and testing messages.

 

 

 

 

Management of HOPWA Program

  

  

 

Management of the Oklahoma Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) federal program, which offers HOUSING and UTILITY ASSISTANCE to individuals and families with HIV/AIDS.

 

 

 

 

FINANCIAL SUPPORT Grant Program  

 

 

An annual grant program currently (2011-12) providing financial support to 15 different HIV service agencies across the State of Oklahoma.
